WHERE CAN I USE/PUT THIS VIDEO?

This video is yours to share! We provide each of our video clients with an embedded code and link for you to spread like a Flint Hills prairie fire. So the short answer is: ANYWHERE. With a link and embedded code so you can share via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Email, text, forums, the list goes on. Just remember don’t be shy because the more you share it, the more views you’ll accumulate and the more referrals you receive. Ask your customers to share it with their friends, email it is customers, throw it on direct mailers, do whatever you have to do to get your video out there. If you commit to sharing and using your video the possibilities are endless. If you have a case by case question regarding where or how to place your video somewhere just ask and we will help you out.

HOW WILL A SIMPLE VIDEO HELP WEB TRAFFIC?

Website video is the most powerful thing you can do to increase your visibility on the web. Back in 2012 Google search results were increased 53 times just by adding video, thanks to Google’s latest algorithm (Hummingbird) video has become even more important. And while web presence is important online video is also proven to increase your conversion rate. It is the Twenty-first Century’s Main Street facade. So many people are searching for you on the web and it is important for you to do everything you can to dominate Google searches. You have a much better chance of dominating the first page of Google search results when people search for your business if you have a FINDitKC video. Of course your site will always show up (because having our video there will boost your website’s visibility), our site will show up, and so will the YouTube results because that is where your video is posted. YouTube is the number two search engine out there and it happens to be owned by Google so it is a very important aspect to SEO. If you work your social media angles that increases your online visibility even more.

HOW DO I GET RIGHTS TO MY VIDEO?

Rights nowadays is a non-issue. Because Google favors consistency only doing one video every few years is pretty pointless. Search engines are looking for relevant businesses that are real and active. Posting a new video every few year just doesn’t give the search giants the confidence they need that you are a mover and shaker. After about a year your video goes stale, which is why we developed our MOV and FINDit Feature packages with a 15 month refresher. FINDit will come in and shoot some new footage, maybe interview another person to give your video a facelift. This will make the Google monster happy, and make you look relevant.

Updating your video every 15 months though isn’t only good for the search engines, it also helps you as a business owner or manager update your video to the times. Things change so fast these days. Employees leave, styles go in and out, renovations happen, and new product lines make appearances on their own schedule not your video’s. So we want you to stay fresh by coming out every year-or-so to update things.

HOW LONG DOES THE SHOOT TAKE?

This is generally a case by case answer. If you are a complicated business with many ins and outs then it will take far longer to shoot. If we were asked to speak in general terms we would say it takes only a few (about 3-5) hours.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE OR FOR THE PRE-SHOOT MEETING?

The PreShoot meeting is a very informal meeting with a member of our Production Team. You need not have anything more than yourself available. We will warn however that it is in this meeting we ask for things like a menu, or list of services so that we may add this to your listings prior to the shoot date. During this meeting we will ask you what you as a business owner are expecting to get out of your video and what points you want to get across. This is also a good opportunity for you to ask a professional some questions about what you should expect. We would also like you to be aware that we may take still photographs of your place of business at this meeting and/or shoot a very informal Vlog (video blog) to be posted on our Facebook page (Facebook.com/FINDitKC). We like to start working on your FINDit presence as soon as we can.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE FOR MY SHOOT?

The only things you need to have ready for your shoot are the things you want in the video. So if you are a florist and want certain arrangements in the video, then those arrangements need to be ready. If you are a restaurant then your cooks need to have hairnets and gloves on, because you never know if they’ll end up on camera. If you are a hair salon and want certain people in the chairs, then those people need to be there for the shoot. These kinds of things are not FINDitKC’s responsibility to arrange.If they are not ready and we show up on the day of the shoot and you ask us to come back then you will be charged the full shoot cancellation fee.

Another thing we want you to remember to do is to schedule your (or get us the info to schedule) testimonials if they are included in your package. Unsure? Ask the Production team member at your pre-shoot meeting or any FINDitKC team member prior to your shoot.

CAN I GET PREMIUM PLACEMENT ON FINDitKC.com, or on the FINDit app?

We love that you asked this question. Of course FINDitKC is a website where we want those in, around and visiting Kansas City to come to find all the city has to offer. We find it fun to show off our amazing entrepreneurs here in Kansas City. We also want you to maximize your visibility. CAN I USE AN EXISTING VIDEO I ALREADY HAVE SHOT?

We have standards for our website, but will consider videos already produced. We do want you to keep in mind we want every business to have video, but our rate isn’t based on just video production, we have an incredible support system that includes the FINDit Family, social reach, web and mobile presence, even classes aimed to help FINDit client use their video and promote their business online. That being said, if you would like to use your own video it would have to make it through a strict quality control process. For starters your video would have to be in High Definition, if it isn’t then then it is guaranteed to not meet our standards.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY INITIAL YEAR IS UP, DO I HAVE TO GET A NEW VIDEO?

This is a very common question. The short answer is yesno… ok so I am cheating. You do not NEED to have another video produced. However, we would encourage you to think about how much your business has changed in the past year, new products, new people, bigger jobs, all sorts of things change. Businesses are ever evolving and change continuously, so we would encourage you to think long and hard before you nix another production at the end of your 15 months. Even if you keep the current video as an overall services video we think it is a good idea to target a certain aspect of your business with the next video.

WHAT IF I WANT MULTIPLE VIDEOS?

The easiest way to receive multiple videos is sign up for a number of years or for our exclusive Vlog package. With the full FINDitKC listing price you get a NEW video annually. So essentially you can wait until year two for that new/extra video or just pay it forward and get it now. This and the Vlog Package can be further discussed with your Digital Media Consultant.

WHAT IF I NEED TO UPDATE MY VIDEO WITHIN THE 15 MONTHS?

At anytime you can add to your video arsenal by signing up for additional services like FINDit Features, MOVs, Vlogs, or VBCs. We of course encourage doing as many at once as you can because it allows us to discount heavily. If you are looking to update a small aspect of your video then  some small added fees will be involved. Anytime we have to pack up our production team and send them somewhere we incur expenses. While we will try to keep these costs low and affordable you have to understand the price of fuel and labor need to be considered.  If this happens to come up a FINDitKC Account Executive or member of our Production Team will work on a custom plan to fulfill your needs.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE THE INFORMATION IN MY LISTING?

If you happen to want to change something on your web/app listing or even add pictures to your listing Email: clientrelations@finditkc.com. From there just let us know what you want done and we will take care of it. We can also set up a Dropbox where you can upload pictures and files you’d like added to our listing. This option is extremely convenient, but a little more complicated and we encourage you to talk to a FINDitKC staff member on how we can set this up for you.
